Building the vision
National Athletic Stadium
One of our team’s most significant assignment was documenting the construction of a stadium roof for KÉSZ Metáltech, built from individual metal elements weighing over 40 tons each, referred to as “diamonds.” The work began in the summer of 2021 at KÉSZ’s industrial site in Kecskemét, where Bence also photographed the first trial assembly.
It was an incredible experience to follow such a complex project up close. Of course, this also meant spending long July days under the blazing sun as the first element was installed or braving the freezing December cold to capture the crane operator skillfully placing the final diamond with millimeter precision.
Every moment felt special – walking on-site where, just weeks later, the world’s greatest athletes would compete, was unforgettable. This is why I love being involved in a project from the very beginning to its final handover.
The building was designed by NAPUR Architects, who have won several international awards for their work on this structure over the past year and a half.
